It\u2019s also spring, which means trees are budding, flowers are blooming, and the grass is turning green. The signs of new growth in San Diego will soon bring vibrant colors and sweet smells to delight in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spending time enjoying nature, whether inside or out, is a healthy activity for San Diego employees. Research has shown that \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.takingcharge.csh.umn.edu\/how-does-nature-impact-our-wellbeing\">Being in nature<\/a>, or even viewing scenes of nature, reduces anger, fear, and stress and increases pleasant feelings.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enjoying nature is just one of the many different things that can\nbe done to help reduce stress and create a calmer state of mind. The key is\nremembering what works and what doesn\u2019t. Below are six suggestions that\neveryone should consider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Diet: <\/strong>Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean sources of protein, and drink lots of hydrating <a href=\"https:\/\/trircoffee.com\/beverages.php\">beverages<\/a>. Not only will you have more energy, but you\u2019ll be able to deal with what the day brings more easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exercise: <\/strong>Keep moving even if it\u2019s only going for a walk or taking a yoga class online. Regular physical activity is necessary to maintain a <a href=\"https:\/\/trircoffee.com\/healthy.php\">healthy<\/a> body, but it can also help relax the muscles and improve one\u2019s mood.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/trircoffee.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/AdobeStock_64331521-1024x695.jpg\" alt=\"Reducing Stress in San Diego\" class=\"wp-image-535\" width=\"338\" height=\"229\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trircoffee.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/AdobeStock_64331521-scaled.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/trircoffee.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/AdobeStock_64331521-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/trircoffee.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/AdobeStock_64331521-768x521.jpg 768w, https:\/\/trircoffee.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/AdobeStock_64331521-1536x1043.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 338px) 100vw, 338px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sleep: <\/strong>Getting enough sleep while\nfeeling stressed out can be hard, but not getting enough can make it even\ntougher. Try to develop a healthy bedtime routine that encourages relaxation\nand includes turning off electronics at least 30 minutes before bed and\nspending some time reading or meditating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Feelings:<\/strong> Whether it\u2019s talking with a\ntrusted friend or family member or writing everything out, expressing what is\ncausing stress is a great way to problem solve and let the brain know that\nyou\u2019ve got this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Planning and Priorities: &nbsp;<\/strong>Take some time to think about what is important. From there, set some short-term goals. They might include planning ahead, getting organized or a list of healthy <a href=\"https:\/\/trircoffee.com\/snacks.php\">snacks<\/a> to enjoy. Either way creating order out of what feels chaotic helps the brain to relax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And finally, smile, laugh and have some fun. Whether it\u2019s a new\nhobby or an old one, a funny movie or just being silly with family or\ncoworkers, each of these activities is great for one\u2019s mood and overall health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While we may not be able to help San Diego essential employees exercise or get more sleep, we are here to provide refreshments including healthy snacks and beverages, fresh food and <a href=\"https:\/\/trircoffee.com\/coffeetea.php\">coffee<\/a> service to their <a href=\"https:\/\/trircoffee.com\/micromarkets.php\">break rooms<\/a>.
