But,\nand it\u2019s a big one, adopting new technology should not come at the expense of\ngood employee experiences. Based on the most recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsys.com\/Assets\/TSYS\/downloads\/rs_2018-us-consumer-payment-study.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Consumer Payment Study<\/a>\nperformed by Total System Services (TSYS), researchers found that while\nAmericans want to adopt and use the newest payment technology to pay for\npurchases, they also want to be able to speak with someone when there is a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For San Diego\nemployers, the challenge is to find the ideal balance between state-of-the-art\npayment technology and old-fashioned customer service when it comes to the\nbreak room experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What\nEmployees Look For<\/strong>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>the option to use a mobile device &#8211; whether it\u2019s through a mobile payment app or a bank\u2019s app &#8211; to pay for snacks, beverages and fresh food&nbsp;<\/li><li>speed, agility and convenience during the buying process<\/li><li>intuitive and  user-friendly equipment and processes<\/li><li>personalized offers based on individual purchasing preferences such as buy-4-get-1-free and  information about promotions and rewards<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding new technology in the break room also helps employers provide excellent refreshment services.
